20th Century Fox has set July 25, 2008 as the release date for the second 'X-Files' movie.
Variety reports the as yet untitled film will see David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.
So far no plot details have been released...other than the movie will be a supernatural thriller1 and takes the two characters in new directions. The popular TV series, which ran from 1993-2002, tracked the pair as they investigated the weird2 and the wonderful.
'X-Files' creator Chris Carter will direct from a script he wrote with Frank Spotnitz.
Filming is expected to begin this December in Vancouver.
