Intending 和 To intend 非谓语使用方法辨析？

老师，为何答案是B. Intending ? D. To intend 为何不能啊？

邀请不少音乐家来参加音乐会，目的是...是目的状语吧？这道题是考察目前分词和不定式作目的状语有什么区别吗？

目前分词作状语，分词的动作与谓语动作具备时间上的同时性。即invited邀请的动作发生时，主语就有intending这种计划。所以用目前分词作状语。

不定式作状语，不定式的动作在谓语动作发生时还没发生。本句假如用不定式to intend作状语，则意味着在谓语邀请的动作发生时，主语还没计划...，这是不符合逻辑的。所以用不定式作状语为错误。
