【我的疑问】译文中,把but even he翻译成但即便如此的经理。如果让我翻译,我会翻译成“但经理即便有极少的对工人个人状况有很亲近的认知”。我的主要问题就是,为何作者在翻译的时候,会把副词even翻译成定语来修饰he?

此处网友对参考译文的理解有误。原文提到 paid manager 对工人及其需要比较知道,even 后面的 he 就是指这个 paid manager,前后强转折的关系,原译者把 he 还原 paid manager时,依据行文的需要,翻译为“如此的经理”。要说对应的话:
“如此的经理”= he = the paid manager,与 even 无关,不是把 even 翻译成了形容词“如此的”。
