the home to不是惯用搭配，但有home to的搭配使用方法。home“故乡的，故土的”是形容词；home to“对……来讲是故土、是家园、是所在地”，意义近似于the home of。比如：

Jamaicais home to over two million people. 牙买加是两百多万人的家乡。

The Rockies are home to bears and mountain lions. 落基山脉中有熊和美洲狮存活。

▲the home of是惯用搭配，表“……的产地（成长地；发源地；栖息地）”。比如：

IsChinathe home of pottery? 中国是陶器的发源地吗？

Greeceis the home of democracy. 希腊是民主的发祥地。
