impression on和impression of 使用方法的不同之处？

I don’t want to make a bad impression him.Of后跟事务，on后面跟人物，这种说法对吗？所以这里应该填on??

这种说法，只不过表面现象，而且不正确。没才从根本上理解 on 和 of 的意思。

impression on （对...留下印象）on 表示“施加”意义。

impression of （对...有印象）of 表示“动宾”关系。

以下两句都可以接“人”，of 未必接物：

I want to make a good impression on him.
我想给他留下好印象。
I have a good impression of him.
我对他印象非常不错。

of 接物的例句：

Now that you remind me of this matter, I have a vague impression of it.
这事经你一提醒，我脑子里才有点儿影子。
