但这并不意味着 on Sundays 与 on Sunday 没不同。
单数形式的 on Sunday 既能够表示特定的某个星期天，也可以表示常常性的在星期天；而复数形式的 on Sundays，则只表示常常性的在星期天，而不表示特定的某个星期天。如：
The rebel army attacked on Sunday. 周日叛军发起攻击。（此句指特定的某个星期天，只可以用单数形式的 on Sunday）
More often than not, he goes to church on Sunday. 他总是星期天去教堂。（此句暗示常常性，也可以换成 on Sundays）
