from A through B的使用方法

The United States Department of Agriculture says 253 million turkeys were raised from January 2013 through September. 美国农业部称2013年1月到9月期间养殖了2.53亿只火鸡。

这个 through 换成 to 不是更好么？没见过 from A through B 的使用方法，这种使用方法多么？

要弄清 from...through...的使用方法，其实是要弄清 from …to…与 from …through…有什么区别。
1. from …to…主要用于英国英语，from …through…主要用于美国英语，两者都可表示持续的时间，后者可以省去介词 from。

2. 另外，两者在含义也稍有差别：from …to…对终点时间是不是包含在内并不了解，而from …through…则表示包含终点时间在内。如：
I go to work from Monday to Saturday. 我每星期一至星期六上班。
I go to work Monday through Saturday. 我每星期一至星期六上班。
