2.一些副词，如so放句首，可以用倒装语序，以表示强调。 在so...that...句型中也是这样，

3. one would not have wondered 为虚拟语气使用方法，表示与过去事实相反。由于此段作者用了过去式，描述过去，所以使用了虚拟语气与过去相反的使用方法。此句的意思是假如有更多玫瑰花蕾先后长出了，大家也不感觉奇怪。但事实上玫瑰花蕾并没长出来。
另外，此译文有些地方翻译不是非常明确，the one 和 the other, 表示两个人，一个和另一个。the one文中没译出。
