近期，各地政府陆续公告中学开学时间，学生复学近在眼前。我们立刻也要结束在家办公模式，重返工作岗位了。这期间宅在家，估计不少人的作息时间都乱了，白天浑浑噩噩，晚上精神抖擞。作为资深熬夜修仙党的我们，今天跟大伙推荐一些关于睡觉的英语表达。
夜猫子的英语如何说？
第一，大伙要了解夜猫子和猫真的没什么关系，它其实是猫头鹰的别称，目前多指喜欢熬夜的人。
Most kids these days are night owls. They sleep at wee hours of the morning and get up late in the day.
目前的大部分孩子都是夜猫子。凌晨入睡，第二天非常晚才起床。
熬夜还能如何说？
stay up late
这个是熬夜最常见的说法。
I used to stay up late with my mom and watch movies.
我以前一直和母亲一块熬夜看电影。
也可以用up来表示整夜没睡：
I was up all night.
我一夜没睡。
此外，还有两个比较形象的表达：
burn the midnight oil
to work diligently, especially late into the night
努力工作，特别指熬到深夜。
I had to burn the midnight oil to get that done.
我需要得熬夜完成它。
pull an all-nighter
Depriving yourself of sleep to do things that need to be done or you want to do, usually used for studying
牺牲睡眠时间（熬夜）去做一些需要做的事情，多指学习。
Today I haven't been able to finish my homework and actually there's a lot left of it so I think I might have to pull an all-nighter.
我今天没能做完作业，还剩不少，我感觉今晚可能得开夜车了。
各种觉如何说？
take a nap/snooze
小憩一会儿；打个小盹
I need to take a nap now.
我目前需要睡个午觉。
have a cat nap
a cat nap，美国俚语打个盹儿。
I was up late last night so I had a cat nap at my desk today.
我昨夜非常晚才睡，所以今天趴在桌子上偷偷打了个小盹儿。
hit the sack/hay
倒头就睡
sack/hay在这里都指的是床。
Man, I'm beat. I'm going to hit the sack.
天啊，我累去世了。我要去睡觉了。
toss and turn
辗转反侧
to move around restlessly while sleeping or trying to sleep
睡觉时辗转反侧。
toss本身的意思是投掷；摇荡；辗转，turn也有翻转的意思，连在一块就形容翻来覆去，辗转反侧。
I tossed and turned all night. I don't know why I wasn't able to stay asleep.
我整晚辗转反侧，不了解为何会失眠。
Every night, it seems like I have to toss and turn for 15 minutes before I get comfortable, and then there's my wife, who falls asleep as soon as her head hits the pillow.
天天晚上，我仿佛都得折腾个15分钟才能睡着，但我的老婆倒头就睡。
sleeping in
睡懒觉；赖床
不少人一说到赖床，想到的第一个表达是stay in bed，其实这个短语的意思只不过待在床上，英语中有一个地道的说法可以用来表达睡懒觉；赖床，那就是sleeping in。
To sleep later than usual, either by accident or deliberately due to the weekend or another event that alters scheduling.
因为周末或者其他事情改变作息，起得比平常晚。
I don't have school tomorrow, I'm thinking of sleeping in.
明天不上学，我想睡个懒觉。
half asleep
半睡半醒；矇胧
He's half asleep and a bit boozed.
他有点儿喝醉了，半睡半醒的。
uNPRotected sleep
回笼觉
turning off your alarm clock and immediately going back to sleep; risking not waking up for a job, class, or other daily task.
字面意思是无保护的睡眠或风险睡眠,实质指的就是关掉闹钟立即回到睡眠状况，冒着耽误工作、课程或其他事情的风险。
I'm lucky that I didn't miss my final exam after having 30 minutes of uNPRotected sleep.
我真走运，睡了30分钟的回笼觉还没有错过期末考试。
打呼噜，磨牙，梦游等各种睡觉习惯对应的英文表达：
snore
打呼噜
He was snoring when Desmond awakened him.
德斯蒙德叫他的时候他还在打呼噜呢。
grind one's teeth
磨牙
Some people grind their teeth while they're asleep.
有的人睡着时会磨牙。
talk in one's sleep
说梦话
I heard you talk in your sleep last night.
昨晚我听见你说梦话。
sleepwalking
梦游
Unresolved or unacknowledged fears can trigger sleepwalking.
残留在心里的或不为人知的恐惧都可能引发梦游。
insomnia
